If you're planning to visit the transport logistic trade fair, mark May 10th in your calendar. Trade magazine trans aktuell will be participating in two panels – one on the subject of freight transport, the other on digitisation in logistics.

Trade magazine trans aktuell will be flying its flag with its own event at the transport logistic. „How to Trim Freight Transport to Be More Effective and Efficient“ is the title of the panel taking place on Wednesday, May 10th, from 4 – 5:30 pm in Hall B2, Forum III (East).

Hardly any other logistics segment has to deal with similar price and cost pressure as the European freight transport. The event illustrates how transport and logistics companies from Germany successfully hold their own against competitors from Central and Eastern Europe. Attendees find out how the relevant companies position themselves with clients, how they choose drivers and suitable routes, and how they design their main runs with maximum efficiency.

The participants:

- Prof. Dr. Dirk Lohre, degree course Transport Management and Logistics, University Heilbronn

- Bernd Wipki, CEO, HSV Systemverkehre, Friedewald

- Rolf-Dieter Lafrenz, CEO, Cargonexx, Hamburg

- Josef Perisa, Executive, Transcoop09, Ulm

- Gunnar Gburek, Head of Business Affairs, TimoCom, Erkrath

- Jeroen Eijsink, President of Europe, C.H. Robinson, Amsterdam

- Moderation: Matthias Rathmann, Editor-in-chief, trans aktuell, Stuttgart

Furthermore, trans aktuell's current editor-in-chief, Matthias Rathmann, will moderate an event of the German Transport Forum (DVF). „Digitisation: How is it Changing the Logistics Market?“ is this panel's title, also taking place on Wednesday, May 10th, from 10 – 11:30 am in Hall A5, Forum I.

Digitisation has turned into one of the most important location factors in the international competition. Which challenges do companies face? Who controls the supply chain in the future? Will the classic division of tasks between shipping agents, logistics services and clients continue? How does the sharing economy influence the logistics sector? How will added value and return on investment be distributed in future? Attendess of the panel will learn the answers to all these questions.

The participants:

- Ivo Körner, Committee Member, German Transport Forum (DVF), Berlin

- Dr. Hansjörg Rodi, Chairman of the Executive Board of Germany and the Central- and Eastern European region, Kühne + Nagel, Hamburg

- Dr. Gerhard Schulz, Head of Department Principle Affairs, Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, Berlin

- Dr. Fürgen Wilder, Chairman of the Board, DB Cargo, Mainz

- Ulrich Wrage, Chairman, Dakosy Datenkommunikationssystem, Hamburg
