In accordance with the regulations on succession, Gregor Rein (34) will take over as Managing Director of the Schmitz Cargobull Danmark A/S subsidiary, and Stefan Ketteler-Eising (38) will take on the role of Head of Finance and Administration for the Nordic sales region on 1 January 2017.

Kim Aaskov (Managing Director to date) and Kenneth Lützen (Head of Financing) have opted for new professional careers outside of the Schmitz Cargobull Group. Both long-standing members of staff have contributed significantly to the ‘Blue Elephant's’ current outstanding position with both new and used vehicles, as well as with associated services in Denmark and the other Nordic countries. Boris Billich (Sales Director of Schmitz Cargobull AG) paid tribute to their extraordinary work and dedication to their customers. “Kim Aaskov and Kenneth Lützen steered the business on the right course during their time with Schmitz Cargobull Danmark A/S and have left their deep imprints on this – not always easy – path. It is now essential that we continue along this successful trajectory and, with our new managers, pursue it for many years to come,” stated Billich. He then thanked the departing managers and wished them every success in their new careers.

He went onto say that he was convinced that the new managers would be capable of expanding this solid base. “Gregor Rein and Stefan Ketteler-Eising have a well-established sales organisation with excellent staff and long-standing customer contacts. Added to this are our new and innovative trailer solutions and a comprehensive package of services that none of our competitors can offer as a ‘one-stop shop’. The entire team in Denmark and the other Nordic countries will thus continue to be a success story for their customers and Schmitz Cargobull,” concluded Billich.

The two new managers both have many years of experience in the Group. Rein has worked for more than eight years in International Key Accounts, while Ketteler-Eising has been in Business Development and Financial Control for nine years and will bring his experience to the Nordic region. Both managers regard the Schmitz Cargobull service package, first and foremost, as minimising the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for customers. It is essential that this clear focus on customer benefits by the Schmitz Cargobull Group continues to be expanded during the next few years.

Schmitz Cargobull believes there is further growth potential with trailer-related services, particularly in the Nordic markets. The fast supply of spare parts, integrated trailer telematics, high-performance Full Service package including tyre service, effective financing and used trailer trade-in services offer decisive added value to freight forwarders - crucial in the highly competitive transport market. Schmitz Cargobull already offers the most comprehensive and efficient range of one-stop services for trailers and truck bodies in Europe. Nevertheless, it remains essential to establish these benefits with customers through professional advice and guidance.
