Freight exchange-primus Timocom introduces an up- and download function for documents. EU licenses or insurance certificates can be organized online.
IT service provider Timocom, especially known for its freight and vehicle exchange TC Truck Cargo, has added a new function to its offer. Users of the freight exchange are now allowed to upload documents such as the EU license, the trade register excerpt or the carrier’s insurance. "Thus the time-consuming and error-prone sending of data via e-mail or even via fax will be eliminated", explains company spokesman Marcel Frings at the IAA.
The storing of data is carried out according to German data protection law. And of course the visibility of documents is also fully under control. Only if data is made visible, can other users get access to it. The advantage: lengthy inquiries and sending will become no longer necessary.
Whether the documents are authentic will not be examined in the first step. "First, we will wait what kind of documents are uploaded", says Frings. But, taking it a step further, this examination may well be imaginable.
