At IAA Commercial Vehicles, VDO, a trademark of Continental, presents the TIS Web Fleet App.
The app allows for a paperless trailer management without additional hardware. Continuous location monitoring, easy documentation of kilometre performance and damage reporting from driver to fleet operator in real time are but a few of the features presented in VDO's (hall 17. booth A06) new software solution. Instead of hardware mounted onto the trailer, all it takes is a QR-code label, which may be scanned prior to every tour. The GPS coordinates are transmitted via the driver's mobile device and the fleet manager is able to see at a glance, where and by whom the trailer was coupled and uncoupled. In addition, the fleet management features of TIS web have been expanded. Version 4.7 enables digital driver's license verification. The user applies a RFID tag onto the driver's license and may verify its validity via the new download terminal DLT Pro.
